Shipping and Terms
We calculate our shipping prices based on both the weight of your order and the current Royal Mail size restrictions. UK orders over £40 automatically qualify for free economy shipping. Because we have to take size restrictions into account when working out postage, we may on occasion have to enter a weight that's higher than the actual fabric weight into our system to calculate postage - often in the case of light but bulky fabrics that don't fold very flat, or fabrics where keeping folds to a minimum is important. This may then result in too high a postage being charged when multiple units are ordered and when this is the case we will always refund any excess back to you. 
We currently ship within the UK and the EU. We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 working days (Mon-Fri) but during busy times dispatch may take a little longer. Our postage options are shown below. If you need a speedier or tracked/signed service, please contact us for a quote. Although our website isn't set up to accept orders from outside the EU, we can deliver worldwide on request. Please contact us via email or our contact form for a postage quote.
UK 1st 1 - 2 days: Delivery is by Royal Mail 1st who aim to deliver in 1 - 2 days. Larger parcels over 2 kg or which don't fit the Royal Mail size restrictions will go by courier. Orders sent by courier are trackable and your tracking details will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched.
UK Economy 2 - 5 days: For parcels up to 1 kg (approx 5 metres quilt weight cotton) delivery is by Royal Mail 2nd class and for parcels over 1 kg by Royal Mail or courier, dependent upon size. Orders sent by courier are trackable and your tracking details will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched. Delivery is approx 2 - 3 working days from the date of dispatch via Royal Mail and 2 - 5 days via courier. 
Free Shipping: UK orders over £40 qualify for free economy shipping which will automatically be applied at checkout. 1st and 2nd class options do not apply. If you need your parcel sooner, you can upgrade to 1st class postage by paying the difference. Just let us know in the customer notes box at checkout or contact us via our contact form as soon as you have placed your order and we will get back to you to let you know how much to pay. Postage to Europe
We use Royal Mail International Standard (airmail) for all parcels weighing up to 2 kg. For all parcels 2 kg and over we ship via courier. Royal Mail take approx 3-5 working days from the date of dispatch and courier times vary and may take a little longer. We will email you tracking details if applicable once your order has been dispatched.
Order Tracking
If you have created an account with us you can check the status of your order at any time up to dispatch by logging into your account. Standard Royal Mail services are unfortunately not trackable. If your parcel is being sent via courier then it will be trackable and your tracking details will be emailed to you once your parcel has been dispatched.
Lost Parcels
Fondant Fabrics can not be held responsible for any carrier delays or parcels going astray once they leave us and very occasionally a parcel may be significantly delayed or lost in the post. For Royal Mail deliveries within the UK we kindly ask that you wait 10 working days from the due delivery date for your parcel to arrive before contacting us as that is when Royal Mail consider a parcel to be lost. In the case of 1st class postage the due date is the next working day after dispatch and in the case of 2nd class postage the due date is the 3rd working day. We can then offer you a refund or can resend (stock permitting).
For UK courier deliveries, please allow 7 working days from the date of dispatch before contacting us about a delivery not received.
For delivery outside the UK, p
lease allow 20 working days from the due delivery date before contacting us about a parcel not yet received.
We really do appreciate how frustrating it can be having to wait but in most cases parcels do show up. If after replacing your parcel the original one arrives we would kindly ask that you contact us so we can arrange for you to send it back to us
Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any parcels lost due to the incorrect delivery address being given to us at the time of ordering. Usually an incorrectly addressed parcel will eventually find its way back to us and we can then resend but if it doesn't then we cannot resend or refund the purchase. If your order is returned to us we will need you to pay the extra postage costs in order to resend.
Accepted Payment Methods
We use PayPal which is one of the most widely used internet payment methods and also one of the safest. PayPal use the highest level of encryption available for internet transactions so you can be sure that your details will remain securely stored within their system. They don't share any of your payment or sensitve details with us, they simply notify us when a payment has been made, so we never store your payment details or any other sensitive information on our website. Payment via PayPal can be made using your PayPal funds, via bank transfer or credit or debit card and you don't need a PayPal account to pay. You can also pay by eCheque. An eCheque is used when you don't have enough funds in your PayPal account and you don't have a linked card and bank account. An eCheque works abit like a normal cheque and takes 5-7 days to clear. If you make your payment this way, your order will be prepared and put to one side ready for dispatch once payment has cleared.
Order Fulfillment
We try to make sure that our stock levels are accurate at all times, but on occasion (especially given the nature of cutting fabric from the bolt) something you have paid for might not be available. In the event that we can't fulfil all or part of your order we will either refund you and dispatch the rest of your order right away, or where appropriate we will contact you to discuss your order before dispatching and offer a refund or a replacement.
Returns & Refund Policy
We make every effort to ensure that the picture you see on the screen reflects the true colours of the fabric you receive. However, colours will vary depending on your computer monitor settings so we can't guarantee this. We offer a swatch service and are happy to answer any questions you might have about our fabrics before you buy. Fabric cut to order from the bolt is classed as a custom cut and we cannot accept returns. We can only accept returns on pre-cut fabric pieces such as remnants and patterns returned to us unused within 14 days of purchase. We will then refund the cost of the goods but both initial and return postage costs are non-refundable.
 If your item is faulty we will of course refund you for both the initial postage costs and for the cost of sending your item back to us. We can either replace your item (stock allowing) or issue a refund. If you need to return an item, please contact us via email or our contact form. We advise that you send your items using a trackable or recorded delivery service as we cannot be held responsible for goods lost or damaged on their way back to us.
We do not offer exchanges on returned items so if you wish to exchange we ask that you return your items to us and order in the normal way. 
Refunds to debit or credit cards may take up to 30 days to appear on your statement. Payments made from your bank account or PayPal balance will be refunded to your PayPal balance.

Cancelling An Order
If you have placed an order with us but then wish to change or cancel it, please contact us as soon as you can, via email or our contact form and we will try our best to make any changes. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so as the order may already have been processed. If that is the case then you may have to wait until you receive the order and then follow the normal returns procedure. Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel an order we will process your refund as soon as we can after cancellation or after your return has been received.

Sending an eCheque is a bit like sending someone a paper cheque, only it is done electronically. And because it is processed by PayPal, the payment is also protected and the sender and recipient do not need to share their financial details. We will first reserve and pack your parcel but it will not be dispatched unitl the payment has been cleared.
